I thought the reasoning given was solid and this only reinforced my belief that the engineering team behind Dart have a really high level of maturity and I’m ultimately glad they made the decision they did even if it’s obviously something many of us were excited about.
I think it’s a good chance to take a fresh look at what the code generation experience CAN be and it sounds like they have a lot of good options on that front to consider as well.
I’m excited for the augmentations feature also and the note that they are working on making it easier to work with data is also great to hear because I think that was the underlying reason why many of us were particularly excited for macros in the first place.
