Hi guys,
I’m new in this forum and I’m developing in Flutter since 2023. I just have d doubt and would like to know your opinions. I have this scenario for developing:
1 - A macbook air 2020 with Sonoma 14.6.1 (23G93)
2 - An IPhone 11 Pro Max, with IOS 17.6.1
3 - Flutter 3.24.3 (Channel stable)
4 - Dart 3.5.3 (stable)
5 - XCode 15.4 (15F31d)
6 - Android Studio Koala | 2024.1.1 Patch 2
And all my projects are running well. Now I’m intending to upgrade my macbook and my phone to Sequoia OS (Mac) and IOS 18.1.1 (IPhone). My main question is: Is there any changes I have to do in my projects environment (like packages and so on) after those upgrades. If so, could you tell me which ones?
Thanks in advance,
Thanks for your answer, @anon92706177. In fact I’m a little afraid about facing these upgrades… but why do you think Sequoia is a “pain in the ass”?
Ok, understood. So, my guess is to keep using Sonoma… And what about IPhone? Is it a good idea to upgrade to 18.1.1?
To be fair, I would take @anon92706177 statement with a grain of salt because MacOS is made for Apple hardware and he is running more or less an not supported version of MacOS on not certified hardware.
For your normal development it should make absolutely not difference if you upgrade. But if you upgrade to latest iOS you will need the latest Xcode which will need the latest MacOS probably
