Hi folk,
I am sorry to write a post like that, but after more than twenty years of participating in forums, communities,… I have never seen a moderator acting so unprofessional.
The moderator in question, after a post of mine (an answer under his question that has been approved being my first one, so there was no spam at all!), decided for no reason that I was a bot (it was his last message under the thread that I received in my email) and, I suppose, using the “spam” button, removed my subscription.
I was not a long-time member, anyway, I lost some interesting conversations I bookmarked.
Having seen dozens of forum/communities/… die for bad moderatorship, I hope you can remove any special permission to him because of acting too impulsively.
In the future, I would recommend not choosing moderators among people who:
- can’t understand what a bot is and what’s not
- don’t know what a forum is made for
- don’t know how to interact with other people
- feel entitled to exercise their authority without thinking twice
- not able to moderate themselves
The joy of participating in a forum should be at least feeling welcome.
Kind regards,
Fabio.
